Look for a repeat that tiles. A sheet that cannot be extended runs out exactly when the spread needs one more strip. We keep it filed mentally under art, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. - Print on something heavier than copy paper: 120 gsm and up takes glue and water without buckling.
- Print at 100% and keep «fit to page» off — a shrunk sheet throws off every cut-out that was drawn to size.
- Tea-stain or sand the edges if the set looks too crisp next to the rest of your journal; vintage paper is never evenly coloured.
