About Retro

We put Retro on the Digital Papers shelf because 70s vintage is the kind of thing people come here looking for, and this one answers it without a detour. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. The designer behind it is Green Pilot. It sits at 29 saves — too few to call it popular, which is exactly why it is worth a look before everyone else finds it.

Use it where the printable has to disappear behind the thing you are actually making. Digital papers get cut and layered, so what matters is whether the pattern still reads in a two-centimetre strip — check the preview at that scale. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.

Search for 60s retro pattern and 70s vintage print and this is the file those words land on; they are all the same printable, filed under whichever phrase you happened to type. The neighbouring searches are digital paper, paper pack, scrapbook paper, patterned paper and paper pattern — worth a look if this particular printable is close but not quite it. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on scrapbook paper, digital planner and digital scrapbooking, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first. You will find it among the digital papers, sorted next to everything that does roughly the same job.

How to use this printable

  1. Download the kit from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — most kits are JPG or PNG pages plus a print-ready PDF.
  2. Print on something heavier than copy paper: 120 gsm and up takes glue and water without buckling.
  3. Print at 100% and keep «fit to page» off — a shrunk sheet throws off every cut-out that was drawn to size.
  4. Tea-stain or sand the edges if the set looks too crisp next to the rest of your journal; vintage paper is never evenly coloured.
