What we like about Decorative Ornament Border Design Set is how little it tries to be everything — it does abstract, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Ephemera and Cut-Outs shelf. We keep it filed mentally under antique, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. Cutouts are only as good as their edges, so zoom in: a white halo round a piece shows on every page you glue it to. It answers to art, baroque, border and classic, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. How to use this printable
- Download the kit from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — most kits are JPG or PNG pages plus a print-ready PDF.
- Print on something heavier than copy paper: 120 gsm and up takes glue and water without buckling.
- Print at 100% and keep «fit to page» off — a shrunk sheet throws off every cut-out that was drawn to size.
- Tea-stain or sand the edges if the set looks too crisp next to the rest of your journal; vintage paper is never evenly coloured.
