What we like about Gift Packaging Template is how little it tries to be everything — it does box with a cutout, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Ephemera and Cut-Outs shelf. Cutouts are only as good as their edges. Zoom in on the preview: a white halo around a cut piece shows up on every page you glue it to. Our own plan for it is cricut, because that is where this kind of printable does the least arguing with you. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every printable on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
Filed as cutting file, design, designer packaging and diy box. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on polaroid frame, bookmark ideas, sticker design, collage photo frame design and sticker sheet, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first. How to use this printable
- Download the kit from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — most kits are JPG or PNG pages plus a print-ready PDF.
- Print on something heavier than copy paper: 120 gsm and up takes glue and water without buckling.
- Print at 100% and keep «fit to page» off — a shrunk sheet throws off every cut-out that was drawn to size.
- Tea-stain or sand the edges if the set looks too crisp next to the rest of your journal; vintage paper is never evenly coloured.
