Cutouts are only as good as their edges. Zoom in on the preview: a white halo around a cut piece shows up on every page you glue it to. We would use it the way the listing hints — academic — and that is also where we would start if you are trying it for the first time. We check two things before any download like this: the preview at full size, and whether the licence covers what you plan to do with it.
It answers to art, baby, background and banner, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. The same shelf also answers to ephemera, cut out, cutout, die cut and tag, so widen the search there before giving up on it. - Print on something heavier than copy paper: 120 gsm and up takes glue and water without buckling.
- Print at 100% and keep «fit to page» off — a shrunk sheet throws off every cut-out that was drawn to size.
- Tea-stain or sand the edges if the set looks too crisp next to the rest of your journal; vintage paper is never evenly coloured.
