About Set of Brutalism Label Industrial Style

We went back and forth on Set of Brutalism Label Industrial Style and kept it, because the alternative was a shelf full of printables that look better than they work. The designer behind it is Spacelabs Studio. Unreviewed so far — read that as untested rather than as a verdict. Nobody has piled onto it yet, which means the only recommendation here is ours.

This is a safe default rather than a statement piece, and most jobs want the safe default. Cutouts are only as good as their edges. Zoom in on the preview: a white halo around a cut piece shows up on every page you glue it to. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

Nearby you will see cut out, cutout, die cut, tag and ticket, which is where to go if this one is nearly right but not quite. Its home here is Ephemera and Cut-Outs — open that shelf if you would rather compare a few before choosing. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on polaroid frame, bookmark ideas, sticker design, collage photo frame design and sticker sheet, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first.

How to use this printable

  1. Download the kit from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — most kits are JPG or PNG pages plus a print-ready PDF.
  2. Print on something heavier than copy paper: 120 gsm and up takes glue and water without buckling.
  3. Print at 100% and keep «fit to page» off — a shrunk sheet throws off every cut-out that was drawn to size.
  4. Tea-stain or sand the edges if the set looks too crisp next to the rest of your journal; vintage paper is never evenly coloured.
