Our own plan for it is banner, because that is where this kind of printable does the least arguing with you. Cutouts are only as good as their edges, so zoom in: a white halo round a piece shows on every page you glue it to. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.

Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on polaroid frame, bookmark ideas, sticker design, collage photo frame design and sticker sheet, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first. We filed it under Ephemera and Cut-Outs for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end.

- Print on something heavier than copy paper: 120 gsm and up takes glue and water without buckling.
- Print at 100% and keep «fit to page» off — a shrunk sheet throws off every cut-out that was drawn to size.
- Tea-stain or sand the edges if the set looks too crisp next to the rest of your journal; vintage paper is never evenly coloured.
