What we like about Enchanted Fairy Garden Junk Journal is how little it tries to be everything — it does background paper, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Junk Journal Kits shelf. If you want one use for it, take butterfly: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. Count what you would actually glue down. A kit of forty pieces with eight usable ones is a smaller kit than it looks. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every printable on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.
Filed as butterfly paper, castle, castle paper and collage paper. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. Judged against the requests we see — junk journal, journaling aesthetic, journaling ideas and journaling prompts — this is a middle-of-the-road answer, and middle of the road is usually what the job needs. How to use this printable
- Download the kit from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — most kits are JPG or PNG pages plus a print-ready PDF.
- Print on something heavier than copy paper: 120 gsm and up takes glue and water without buckling.
- Print at 100% and keep «fit to page» off — a shrunk sheet throws off every cut-out that was drawn to size.
- Tea-stain or sand the edges if the set looks too crisp next to the rest of your journal; vintage paper is never evenly coloured.
