What we like about Midnight Blue Papers & Patterns is how little it tries to be everything — it does blue decorative paper, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Junk Journal Kits shelf. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. The save count is still small at 4, so read this as our opinion and not a consensus. It is WatercolorFace's work.
Count what you would actually glue down. A kit of forty pieces with eight usable ones is a smaller kit than it looks. Our own plan for it is botanical digital paper, because that is where this kind of printable does the least arguing with you. The licence tab and the full-size preview are the whole of our due diligence here, and they take about a minute between them.
If you came in looking for decorative paper pack, digital scrapbook paper, elegant printable paper and floral digital paper, you are in the right place — the listing carries all of those, which is the clearest sign the designer built it for that job rather than retitled it afterwards. How to use this printable
- Download the kit from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — most kits are JPG or PNG pages plus a print-ready PDF.
- Print on something heavier than copy paper: 120 gsm and up takes glue and water without buckling.
- Print at 100% and keep «fit to page» off — a shrunk sheet throws off every cut-out that was drawn to size.
- Tea-stain or sand the edges if the set looks too crisp next to the rest of your journal; vintage paper is never evenly coloured.
