Print a test page on the paper you actually use — the same file on copy paper and on cardstock is two different colours. Our own plan for it is book aesthetic, because that is where this kind of printable does the least arguing with you. The listing files it under book club design, book collector, book dragon and book dragon png — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. The wording people arrive with is calligraphy alphabet, calligraphy fonts alphabet, hand lettering alphabet fonts and alphabet calligraphy, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid. We filed it under Paper Craft Graphics for the obvious reason, and the shelf is small enough to read end to end. The neighbouring searches are clipart, clip art, illustration, border and alphabet — worth a look if this particular printable is close but not quite it.

- Print on something heavier than copy paper: 120 gsm and up takes glue and water without buckling.
- Print at 100% and keep «fit to page» off — a shrunk sheet throws off every cut-out that was drawn to size.
- Tea-stain or sand the edges if the set looks too crisp next to the rest of your journal; vintage paper is never evenly coloured.
