About Sitting Dog

What we like about Sitting Dog is how little it tries to be everything — it does cartoon, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Paper Craft Graphics shelf. Credit goes to Creativeguru. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. With 1 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size.

Print one test page on the paper you actually use — the same file on copy paper and on cardstock is two different colours. Put it to work on cat first. If it survives that, it will survive whatever you had in mind next. Open it big before you commit. At thumbnail size every printable on this shelf looks equally good, which is the problem with thumbnails.

Type clipart, dog, illustration and pod into the search above and this one comes back — the same printable under four different habits of phrasing. If none of this quite fits, the adjacent requests are clip art, border, alphabet and graphic and they stay on this page. It is shelved with the rest of the paper craft graphics, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on calligraphy alphabet, calligraphy fonts alphabet, hand lettering alphabet fonts and alphabet calligraphy, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first.

How to use this printable

  1. Download the kit from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — most kits are JPG or PNG pages plus a print-ready PDF.
  2. Print on something heavier than copy paper: 120 gsm and up takes glue and water without buckling.
  3. Print at 100% and keep «fit to page» off — a shrunk sheet throws off every cut-out that was drawn to size.
  4. Tea-stain or sand the edges if the set looks too crisp next to the rest of your journal; vintage paper is never evenly coloured.
