About Grunge Red Heart
What we like about Grunge Red Heart is how little it tries to be everything — it does abstract, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Textures and Backgrounds shelf. The review tab is empty. Print one at the size you work at. A texture that is subtle on screen can be heavy on paper and swallow everything you layer over it. We keep it filed mentally under art, which is the use that needs the least adjusting afterwards. One thing we always do and you should too: open the preview full size. A thumbnail hides exactly the detail that decides whether abstract is really what you are getting.
Filed as background, blot, brush and color. Tags are a rough instrument, but a consistent set like that usually means the file is what it claims. How to use this printable
- Download the kit from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — most kits are JPG or PNG pages plus a print-ready PDF.
- Print on something heavier than copy paper: 120 gsm and up takes glue and water without buckling.
- Print at 100% and keep «fit to page» off — a shrunk sheet throws off every cut-out that was drawn to size.
- Tea-stain or sand the edges if the set looks too crisp next to the rest of your journal; vintage paper is never evenly coloured.
