About Silhouette Bats in Flight for Halloween
What we like about Silhouette Bats in Flight for Halloween is how little it tries to be everything — it does animal, and that is the job we wanted filled on the Textures and Backgrounds shelf. deevector made it. The review tab is empty. That is normal here and not a warning, but it does put the preview in charge. With 23 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size.
If you want one use for it, take art: that is the direction the designer clearly had in mind, and it is the one we would follow. A background has to take ink and glue without fighting what goes on top, so the quiet sheets get used far more than the dramatic ones. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.
It answers to animal wildlife, autumn, bat and bats flying, and that spread of wording is worth noting: a file tagged this consistently usually behaves the way the preview suggests. Most of the traffic on this shelf comes in on scrapbook background, watercolor background, calligraphy background, vintage background for scrapbook and polaroid background, and we picked the files on it with those requests in mind rather than by browsing prettiest-first. It is shelved with the rest of the textures and backgrounds, and that is the quickest way to see what else sits in the same register before you settle on this one. The neighbouring searches are texture, background, grunge, watercolor background and overlay — worth a look if this particular printable is close but not quite it.

How to use this printable
- Download the kit from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — most kits are JPG or PNG pages plus a print-ready PDF.
- Print on something heavier than copy paper: 120 gsm and up takes glue and water without buckling.
- Print at 100% and keep «fit to page» off — a shrunk sheet throws off every cut-out that was drawn to size.
- Tea-stain or sand the edges if the set looks too crisp next to the rest of your journal; vintage paper is never evenly coloured.
