About Ornament Frame
Most of what turns up under abstract needs work before it is usable. Ornament Frame is the version that does not. It comes from Almairatype Studio. Nobody has reviewed it, which we do not hold against a new file — but it does mean the preview is the only honest evidence. With 1 saves it has barely been seen, and that is neither a good nor a bad sign on a catalogue this size.
Our own plan for it is antique, because that is where this kind of printable does the least arguing with you. Cutouts are only as good as their edges, so zoom in: a white halo round a piece shows on every page you glue it to. Before downloading, give the preview a full-size look and read the licence tab — two clicks, and they answer most of what the listing leaves unsaid.
The listing files it under art, background, banner and baroque — those are the words it gets found by, and between them they describe the file better than any category name does. The same shelf also answers to ephemera, cut out, cutout, die cut and tag, so widen the search there before giving up on it. You will find it among the ephemera and cut-outs, sorted next to everything that does roughly the same job. The wording people arrive with is polaroid frame, bookmark ideas, sticker design, collage photo frame design and sticker sheet, and we would rather shelve for those requests than for how a thumbnail looks in a grid.

How to use this printable
- Download the kit from Creative Fabrica and unzip it — most kits are JPG or PNG pages plus a print-ready PDF.
- Print on something heavier than copy paper: 120 gsm and up takes glue and water without buckling.
- Print at 100% and keep «fit to page» off — a shrunk sheet throws off every cut-out that was drawn to size.
- Tea-stain or sand the edges if the set looks too crisp next to the rest of your journal; vintage paper is never evenly coloured.
